Coordinating a sequence of workshops focusing on the life skills that help children to live better lives. These workshops are operated on a rotational basis within the community centers by volunteers who have significant experience in each of the areas listed:

Health and Wellness: helps children achieve a healthy lifestyle through instruction in nutrition, fitness and preventive medicine. Children learn to view the human body as a causal-effect system acting in symbiosis.

Money and Markets: teaches fiscal responsibility. After learning basic economic concepts, the value of money and the components of the world’s financial markets; children research a corporation’s value and manage a real asset allocation portfolio.

  • The Art of Interviewing

  • Basic Individual Rights

Requirements for host centers:

  1. This opportunity is available to community-based schools, technology centers, or areas that have a commitment to youth.
  2. Operating expenses reflect the annual costs that we incur in the course of forming educational partnerships. These costs include personnel expenses, technology support (where applicable), and program materials and supplies. The operating costs (which we typically cover) are estimated at between USD $40-60,000 per year.
  3. The minimum space requirement is 700 square feet (in cases where this is not feasible, we may request a site inspection. Wee will not cover construction and/or demolition of walls (and windows) necessary to provide 700 sq. ft of space, any ceiling modifications due to construction, electrical circuitry, wiring or outlets to support the equipment and lighting; additional HVAC that may be required; security and insurance, and any modifications necessary to comply with ADA, general safety or fire safety requirements.
  4. The host center needs to be open a minimum of 15 hours per week (after school and/or weekends) throughout the year.
  5. A host agreement must be required (this insures that our enormous investment in your community center is protected from theft, misuse, or other unforseeable damage, other program and Licensing Agreements may be required (to be determined on a case-by-case basis).
  6. All host community centers will be required to abide by all applicable laws governing youth programs including the Internet Privacy Act and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which provides that no handicapped person shall, by reason of handicap, be excluded from participation in any programs or activities.
